| dc.description.abstract | Reports a bibliometric study to compile a profile of authorship characteristics in international library and information periodicals. 5 periodicals were studied for details of the authors given in them. These details include affiliation, rank, and the author's country. The study was based on articles, book reviews, letters, and editorials found in 5 English language international librarianship periodicals. The citations, references, and bibliographies were also studied. The geographic distribution, the age and the type of cited documents the authors used in writing articles were explored. | en |
