Commonly, introductory-level courses on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for prospective teachers focus on the development of knowledge and skill with the use of technology tools. These types of courses are very valuable and they undoubtedly enhance the teacher's ability to both promote and role model technological literacy for their students. The question that follows is, if one was to offer a second-level course to prospective teachers, what should that course be like? This paper describes such a course that was recently implemented in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. The course extends the learners skill with technology, and introduces the notions of planning and design for online delivery. Most importantly, however, the course focuses on integrating ICT into teaching and learning.en
