| dc.description | Black and white postcard depicting Kolossi castle. The following inscription is written at the back: “Tower of the Hospitallers, Kolossi, Cyprus. On the fall of Acre in 1291 the Hospitallers (Knights of St. John) also found an asylum in Cyprus being placed by Henry II in joint occupation with the Templars of the town of Limassol. Kolossi was the headquarters of the Grand Commandery”. Printed in Germany. Ασπρόμαυρη κάρτ ποστάλ που απεικονίζει το κάστρο του Κολοσσιού. Με επιγραφή στο πίσω μέρος "Πύργος των Ιωαννίνων, Κολόσσι,Κύπρος". Με την πτώση της Άκρας το 1291 οι Ιωαννίτες (Ιππότες του Αγίου Ιωάννη) βρήκαν ένα άσυλο στην Κύπρο το οποίο τοποθετείται στην εποχή του Ερρίκου του ΙΙ και διαχειριζόταν μαζί με τους Ναϊτες την πόλη της Λεμεσού.
