| dc.description | Κτίστηκε στα ερήπια τρίκλητης βασιλικής του 5ου αιώνα. Η μικρών διαστάσεων παλαιοχριστιανική Βασιλική, η οποία διέθετε νάρθηκα, αίθριο και βαπτιστήριο, πιθανώς να αποτελούσε τον καθεδρικό ναό της πόλης της Καρπασίας. Η μεσοβυζαντινή εκκλησία που διαδέχθηκε την παλαιοχριστιανική Βασιλική ανήκει στον εγγεγραμμένο σταυροειδή με τρούλο ναό. The church of Agios Philon was built on the ruins of the three-aisled Basilica of the 5th century. The small Basilica, which had a narthex, an atrium and a baptistry, was probably the cathedral church of the city of karpasia.
