Cooperation in the field of librarianship and information between Cyprus and other countries

Abstract

Paper presented to the Conference of Mediterranean Librarians on the theme Library cooperation in the Mediterranean region, in Valetta, Malta, 8-9 Apr 83. Stresses the need for nations to cooperate in the exchange and control of information and Cyprus' committment to this. Describes the aims of the Cyprus Inter-Library Cooperation Centre and the Cyprus Centre for the Registration of Books and Serials. Describes the recommendations made by Dr. Paul Xuereb on the development of library services in Cyprus.
