Projektbericht: inkunabeln und alte Drucke

Abstract

The article discusses the research project at the Austrian National Library on Greek and Byzantine authors and manuscripts of the 15th and 16th century. The project focuses on those manuscripts owned by Viennese humanists such as Philipp Gundel, Johannes Brassicanus, and Peter Lambeck as well as on the conservation and preservation of those works. The results of the research project were published in the catalog of the Austrian National Library. Other topics mentioned were province research, Viennese humanism, and the history of the Byzantine empire.
