The topics discussed include: improving the visibility of geospatial data on the web; the anatomy of a search and mining system for digital humanities; increasing the visibility of library records via consortial search engine; combining domain-specific heuristics for author name disambiguation; detecting and modeling local text reuse; reducing computational effort for plagiarism detection by using citation characteristics to limit retrieval space; quality assessment of collaborative content with minimal information; fast image-based Chinese calligraphic character retrieval on large scale data; human and machine error analysis on dependency parsing of ancient Greek texts; and the feasibility of investing in manual correction of metadata for a large-scale digital library.
