This presentation provides an update on the evolving use of information technology (IT) in the classrooms of a large Canadian high school. The discussion concentrates on IT developments in the mathematics and science departments. The presentation program Microsoft PowerPoint is used extensively in the teaching of mathematics. The integration and benefits of using this approach will be discussed. In the science department, various forms of IT (videoconferencing, online teaching, simulation programs, etc.) have been implemented for many years. An account of the successes and failures of these different presentation methods will be presented.
